is Double Opt-in?
Double opt-in is your protection against the sending of
unsolicited email. After a visitor registers at your site
they will receive
a confirmation email. By replying to the confirmation email,
your visitor has "double opted-in" which means their email
address is valid and they would like to receive email from
you. In addition, before uploading your list into our secure
database you must make certain that it is an "opted-in" list.

many messages can I send per month? What is the cost?
You can send as many emails as you like, whenever you like!
There are a variety of pricing levels for you to choose
from
based on the number of emails that you would like to send.
You can purchase as many emails as you like and VerticalResponse
will let you know, in real-time, how many emails you have
in your "bank" after you mail your campaign.

can I send out email?
Anytime you want! We deploy your email campaign from the time
zone you specified when registering with Emailxtra.com. Just schedule
a date and time, launch your campaign, and your emails are
queued for delivery. Depending on the size of your mailing,
the entire process can take just minutes!

long does it take to set up?
Setting up your profile takes less than 5 minutes, it's very
easy!

do I set it up?
Just begin with our easy Setup Interview Process - we'll ask
you a few simple questions and then automatically build and
configure your profile. Be sure to have a graphic of your

What
is a Opt-inBuilder? What is a Web Form?
A web opt-in form is a form that enables you to collect information
from the people who visit your web site. Opt-inBuilder provides
you with a variety of data collection options such as Email
Address, First Name, Last Name, City, State, etc. as well
as offering you the ability to customize up to 10 additional
fields. VerticalResponse begins collecting visitor information
on your behalf and you can see live reporting as soon as someone
signs up on your site.

How
can I add my logo into Emailxtra.com for my web opt-in form?
It's easy - we will ask you where the file is on your computer
during your Setup Interview and automatically upload it
for
you. You can also change your logo at any time by selecting "Update My Profile".

How
do I put the sign up form on my site?
We will give you the HTML that you will need for your site.
Or, if you would prefer, let us host the sign up form for
you on our site for FREE. We will simply give you the URL
that you will need to link from your site.

What
types of information can I capture from my members who sign
up?
First, select which demographic information you would like
to receive from your members including First Name, Last Name,
Email Address, City, State, Zip Code, Country. You can even
personalize additional information that you would like to
capture from your visitors.

I see a report on who is signing up at my site?
Yes, select "View List" from the Emailxtra.com Control Center
at any time to see the up-to-the-minute status of your

When
my customers sign in to the opt-in form, will they receive
an email?
Yes, they will receive a confirmation email from you from
our servers to ensure that they are the one signing up for
the service. This is part of the Double Opt-in procedure --
remember, VerticalResponse does not send unsolicited email.

do I do if I already have a list?
No problem, during the Setup Interview we will ask you to
upload your list using our intuitive Mailing List Management
feature.

What
type of data do I upload into Emailxtra.com?
Emailxtra.com can accept Text files that are either tab or comma
delimited (detailed instructions on the site explain how

easily export your Excel, ACT!, Palm, GoldMine,
or Outlook list).

does the data go?
Your data will be loaded into a database that is on a highly
secure server in a protected environment.

How
secure is the data?
Data is protected in many ways. First, our physical database
servers are locked in a secure facility that monitors them
24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Secondly, all VerticalResponse
servers are protected by secure firewall systems from the
industry leader, Cisco Systems.

anyone else use my data?
Absolutely NOT! The data is yours and only yours. You will
have access to it 24/7 and it resides in a secure environment
that only you can get to.

are the steps in preparing an email campaign?
After you have loaded your data through the List Management
system, just complete 4 simple steps to create your email
campaign.

in or paste your copy
Preview your
email campaign, make revisions and send a test email to yourself
or your seed list. After that you are ready to choose your list

What
if I need help preparing the email?
We have "hints" and "tips" located throughout the email
construction process to guide you along the way. If you
need some suggestions
on what type of copy to include in your email, simply cut
and paste the samples within Emailxtra.com and tailor them to
meet
your needs.

What
do I do if I don't know how to write HTML?
Our templates were created so you can send out professional-looking
emails without HTML experience. Since the HTML has already
been constructed for you all you need to do is add your graphics
and copy!

What
happens if my customers are unable to read HTML email?
While most email readers today have the ability to open HTML
emails, there are certain cases where people cannot or do
not want to receive emails in this format. Emailxtra.com has you
covered for these instances because we send out your email
campaigns in multi-part MIME, which means that 3 versions
of your email are sent out: HTML, AOL and Text. When you create
your email with your template the AOL and Text versions are
automatically generated for you to preview. When the email
campaign is deployed, the appropriate version is pulled into
your customer's inbox based on the type of email they can
receive.

Can
I personalize my email?
Yes! You may customize your salutation, your subject line,
or anywhere in the email that you want! (First name and Last
Name only).

If
I'm sending HTML, do I also need to format a text version?
Emailxtra.com's Email Campaign Management does this for you! When
you create your email with our template, AOL and Text versions
are automatically generated for you to preview. When the email
reaches your customer's inbox, the appropriate format is will
be pulled into their inbox.

How
do I use templates?
All you need to do is follow our simple instructions. Tell
us where to find your graphics on your hard drive and we will
upload them onto the template. Add copy for your greeting
and/or closing or use the examples VerticalResponse has provided.
Our templates are one of the easiest features to use!

How
big should the graphics be for my email or my sign up form?
It would be preferred if your logo was no larger than 600
pixels wide x 100 pixels tall. Your offer item graphics should
not be larger than 150 pixels wide x 150 pixels tall. Please
make sure that your ALL of your graphics are in .jpg or .gif
format, and it's best if the background colors are either
white or transparent.

With Emailxtra.com's Campaign Reporting, you have access your reporting
anytime, anywhere! You can see exactly when your campaign
was sent out and how many emails were: received, not received,
bounced, or unsubscribed. The most impressive feature of the
Campaign Reporting is the ability to provide click-through
rates per URL in real time!

anyone else see my reports?
Absolutely NOT! Your reports are password protected so no
one else can see them except you and anyone you have shared
your password with.

How
often are the reports updated?
The reports are in REAL TIME. This means that what you
view is exactly what is currently happening. Just click
your refresh
or reload button on your browser for an "up-to-the-second" report!

How
can my member unsubscribe?
Very easily actually. They simply need to scroll to the
bottom of the email and click the "unsubscribe" link or reply to
your message with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject
line. They will immediately be marked in your database
so they will
not be mailed again.

What
happens to a bounced email?
In the case of a "bounced" email, Emailxtra.com will attempt to
send the email several times within the first 3 days. If,
after this time, the email still remains undeliverable, we
will flag this as "bad email address" in your uploaded list.
Since we are RFC 822 compliant, occurrences of "bounced" emails
should be minimal because bad email addresses are normally
identified before an email campaign is sent out.

How
do I get my member list out of Emailxtra.com?
In the Emailxtra.com Control Center you will see all the lists
that you have uploaded into the Emailxtra.com secure database.
Once you find the list that you want back, click on "download"
and you will then be prompted to give a location as to where
you would like the list to be downloaded to. After choosing
your location click "OK" and your list will be downloaded
to you in a .txt file in your choice of tab or comma delimited
format.

Can
I use Emailxtra.com for rented lists?
You may use Emailxtra.com for rented lists, if and ONLY if the
list owner allows you to AND the recipients have "opted-in" to
receive email from third-party sources as is identified
in our Terms of Service.
